INEL („Grammatical Descriptions, Corpora and Language Technology for Indigenous Northern Eurasian Languages“) is a long-term research project in the context of the Academies’ Programme [1], which is coordinated by the Union of the German Academies of Sciences and Humanities [2].
 
The project was applied for by Prof. Dr. Beáta Wagner-Nagy [3] (Universität Hamburg, Institut für Finnougristik/Uralistik, main applicant), Dr. Michael Rießler [4] (Skandinavisches Seminar Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg) as well as Hanna Hedeland and Timm Lehmberg (management of the Hamburg Center for Language Corpora (HZSK)) [5] and is carried out by the Academy of Sciences and Humanities in Hamburg [6] in cooperation with the Universität Hamburg [7].
